Valve shipped a small CS2 patch on August 24. It does not change guns, economy, or the skin pool. It gives map makers new tools.
What landed
- custom_hud_layout — scripted maps can show their own UI: panels, labels, images, buttons, CSS styling
- cs_player_camera — the map can take the player’s view without moving the pawn, with optional look-around
- New script hooks for bomb plant/defuse start and abort
- Better script error logs (compile column, failed promises)

What it is not
- No new case
- No Armory rotation
- No Premier / map pool swap
- No weapon tune
This is workshop infrastructure. Expect better custom modes and map UIs, not a ranked meta shift this week.
