Cases Are Still the Weak Leg

Volume is not the same thing as strength.

Dreams & Nightmares, Kilowatt and Revolution still print huge unit volume. That does not mean cases are a good hold. Active drop cases bleed while they are cheap to open and easy to list.

• High volume on current cases
• Soft prices on several active and semi-active boxes
• Older discontinued cases can still fall. Scarcity is not a floor

What it means
Cases are a flow product. They move because people unbox, not because collectors are bidding them up. If the drop pool stays fat, expect grind-down, not a squeeze.

Trade note
Trading cases is a spread game. Holding a stack of openable cases “because volume is high” is how you fund other people’s unboxings.
